About Jarrell Texas
Just 12 miles north of Georgetown is the cozy enclave of Jarrell TX. Founded in 1909 at the intersection of an old stagecoach road and incoming rail line. The town remained a tiny rural community until 1990 when it experienced an economic recovery. Even after a tornado destroyed a housing subdivision in 1997, development continued for both industrial and residential construction. Today Jarrell TX has a population of about 2,000.
